Chris came to Deer Valley in March of 2004. Previous to that time she was a ski instructor at Solitude Ski Resort 1982 - 1984; Snowbird Ski School Supervisor 1984 -1995; a Deer Valley Ski School Supervisor 1996 -1998; and with the United States Ski and Snowboard Coaches Education Department 1998 -2004. For the past five years she has been on the intermountain Masters ski racing circuit and has won the Intermountain Jan's Cup, Sun Valley Skotch Cup and retained the women's number 1 bib for the past two seasons. She has also been a member of P.S.I.A. (Professional Ski Instructors of America) for 20 years, where she has served as an examiner and clinic leader. She is also a national level coach with USSA (United States Ski and Snowboard Association).
