Purgatory Resort,
Colorado

Purgatory is "known for consistent, dry powder from storms typically followed by blue-bird days creating the perfect conditions for  pure alpine nirvana."  This is a family friendly resort with a relaxed vibe where skiing is the focus.

Located in the rugged San Juan Mountains is Southwest Colorado, Purgatory resort is located about 25 miles north of Durango, CO.  There are multiple flights each day to Durango on United or American airlines, from hubs like Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, and LA.  From the airport, car rentals are available or there are shuttle  services available as well.  Lodging will be booked on your own in the base area village where you can choose from king hotel rooms, studio, 1, 2 or 3 bedroom condos. A lodging discount booking code will be provided when you register.  Relax during the evenings, cooking your own dinner, or enjoy dining at Purgy’s or get pizza from Paradise Pizzeria.  Nearby  Durango is known for diverse collection of fine dining as well.   Amenities include parking, wifi, hot tub and ski storage.  There is a small village market available. 

The ski area boasts 107 trails, with 11 lifts.  23% of trails are green, 51% blue and 26% black offering something for everyone!

3 Day  trip:

Intermediate to Expert level skiers

January 22-26, 2026

You must be comfortable on most blue runs to be considered an intermediate level skier

Plan to arrive on Thursday, January 22 and depart on Monday, January 26, 2026

$1,400 per  person

Lodging, airfare and airport transfers NOT included.

January 25-31, 2026

Plan to arrive on Sunday January 25 and depart on January 31, 2026

$2,000 per person

Cancellations: Full refund minus $200 administration fee if cancelled 91 days or more from the start of the trip.  There are NO REFUNDS if  cancelled  between 0-90 days prior to the  start of  the trip unless we are able to fill the vacant spot, in which case we willl refund trip  cost, minus $200 administration fee.
